Royal Caribbean has been approved to run passenger cruise service from Port Everglades next month, the first cruise with paying passengers to take off from a US port in over a year.
Celebrity Edge will set sail for a seven-night cruise to the Caribbean on June 26th.
This comes after the CDC approves Royal Caribbean s request to begin test voyages in U.S. waters next month.
Travel Expert Peter Greenberg says the company has been preparing for this for months and that the order of operations was put into place months ago
A two-day test cruise launches from PortMiami on June 20th.
